Happy New Year! It feels like we just celebrated the holidays, but here we are, already kicking off a brand new year. We're not big advocates of traditional New Year's resolutions. They often set us up to focus solely on what we want to change during a moment of excitement, only for that momentum to fade after a week or two.

Instead of resolutions, we encourage setting intentions. Intentions are guiding principles or areas of focus that we wish to explore and develop throughout the year. They are less rigid than resolutions, allowing for greater flexibility and organic growth.

For 2025, our chosen words are Joy, Flow, and Ease. We've found that these words embody the spirit of a fulfilling and balanced life.

We invite you to choose your own words for 2025. What words resonate with you? Perhaps it's Courage, Creativity, Connection, Abundance, or Peace.

Once you've chosen your word(s), consider these steps to incorporate them into your intentions:

  • Reflect: Spend some time reflecting on what each word means to you personally.
  • Connect: How can you cultivate more of this quality in your daily life? What activities bring you a sense of courage? What practices can help you find greater connection?
  • Intention Setting: Set specific, achievable intentions based on your chosen word(s). For example, if your word is "creativity," your intention might be to "explore a new creative outlet" or "incorporate more creativity into my daily routine."

Setting intentions involves identifying what truly matters to you and aligning your daily activities with those values.

We encourage you to take some time this week to reflect on what intention you'd like to carry with you this year.
